Our Sassy Dog program has three primary elements for the dog: obedience training, confidence building, and impulse control; and one for you – establishing your role as your dog’s trusted leader so the dog will look first to you for guidance in threatening situations.
Sassy Dog Program Content:
- Understand aggression origins-usually fear based
- Cope with fight impulses
- Cope with Flight impulses
- Curb dog’s anxiety replacing it with trust in you
- Read the dog’s body language
- Succeed in basic obedience – Make learning fun
- Conduct successful walks in neighborhood
- Address specific problem behaviors barking/lunching in windows, at door, food guarding, fights with other family pets, etc.
- Achieve pack-leadership over the dog
- Understand your role in handling various situation
